The Welshman has brought four new players in during the close season but told the CT: "If the right players come along then we are going to be interested but I'm pleased with the players who have come in - they will improve us.
"We have two other strikers in Leon Best and Robbie Simpson who will be pushing for a place but if we go six months until the next transfer window without another signing before the transfer window, we shall wait until the next one and so on."
With no reserve side this season, Coleman is looking to get the squad down to a level which provides some cover but is not loaded with high earners who are not getting a game.
Chris Birchall has already been told that he can look for a new club whilst the City boss has spoken to Kevin Kyle and Gary Borrowdale about their futures at the club.
