We Hope To Continue Negotiations - Labovitch

Coventry City Director Mark Labovitch has told the Coventry Telegraph's Les Reid that the club hopes to start negotiations with Arena Coventry Limited over the Ricoh Arena rent.

Mr Labovitch denied the claims by The Guardian last night that SISU will place the club into insolvency liquidation and said: “I’m not aware of Tim Fisher (club chief executive) saying it is going to be next week.

“No-one can pinpoint a specified time when we might be obliged by law to file for administration.

“When Tim Fisher mentioned the possibility of administration, this was not a tactic or posturing.

“It is a matter of the law. If a company sees no possibility of avoiding insolvent liquidation it is legally compelled to go into administration.

“We hope to continue negotiations with ACL in order to find a solution which will enable us to avoid insolvent liquidation.”
