We Have To Pick Ourselves Up - Philliskirk

Last updated : 17 December 2015 By CNS Staff

Former Coventry City player Danny Philliskirk has said that Oldham Athletic have to pick themselves up against the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

Philliskirk, who will become a father today and then travel to Coventry on Saturday, scored twice for Oldham against City last season and told the Oldham Chronicle: "We need to give ourselves a chance in a game rather than constantly trying to get back into it. That is where we have been letting ourselves down lately.

“At Sheffield United we were probably a bit unlucky and had a few chances that didn’t go for us before they hit us with a sucker punch.

“But we pick ourselves up and go again and there is still belief in the squad. We are working for the manager and staff and everyone is striving to fix it, hopefully starting on Saturday.”
