Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson has said that the Sky Blues do have money to strengthen the squad.

Despite only selling 7,000 season tickets, money is being made available to replace the likes of Elliott Ward, Clinton Morrison, Dimi Konstantopolous, Marcus Hall, Stephen Wright, Ashley Cain and Curtis Wynter.

"We know we need to strengthen, we know what areas and there's money available to do it," said Mr Ranson to the Sporting Life.

"We're down to the bare bones, we have to strengthen the squad. I think we've got 15, 16 recognised professionals so we need to bring five or six in to strengthen and Aidy knows what he wants to do."
