We Can't Force Players To Sign - Coleman

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has responded to the concerns expressed by every City supporter about the lack of new signings.

"If they turn up and come through the door we have got them," said Coleman to the CT. "We can't tie people up and hold a gun to their heads to make them sign.

The City boss, who took his side paintballing yesterday as a team bonding exercise added: "We have got our targets but we are like a lot of clubs and not signed anyone yet, but the lads we have got have been doing a fantastic job for us.

"It has been hard for them because I told some of them last year that maybe it is time that they moved on and I told the lads that we were expecting some new faces and that hasn't happened. But they have come back, rolled their sleeves up and got on with it.

"The players we have got have shown some good signs. We know we need to strengthen but, I want to concentrate on the positives and the players we have got. We have got another tough game on Saturday at Huddersfield and we are going to have to step it up again."

Some of the players will be at the Ricoh Arena club shop tonight from 5.30pm until 6.30pm for an autograph session with two at Asda's in Walsgrave.
