We Can Still Make The Play-Offs - King

Coventry City striker Marlon King feels that City can still make the Championship Play-Offs, despite the run which has seen the Sky Blues not win a league game since December 4th.

Speaking to the CT, King said: "I don't think we should give up hope until we are mathematically out of it because we saw with Blackpool last season, they kicked on and scraped up. A lot of the top teams have still got to play each other so there will be a few slip-ups.

"But we can't worry about what's going on in the league. We have to concentrate on ourselves and what we are doing on the pitch."

City travel to Birmingham City on Saturday and whilst the City support may be up for the game snapping up every available ticket, King feels that the league game on Tuesday night against Nottingham Forest is more important.

"People might say the Birmingham game is a big game but I think our next league game is more important," King said.

"It will be nice to go to St Andrews as underdogs and try to get a result and give the fans something to smile about.

"We have got a great following going there and hopefully a Cup run can heighten things for us and then we can kick on next Tuesday against Forest."
