We can still do it: Coleman

Coventry City slipped a place down the table to 12th and are now eight points adrift of Cardiff in sixth place, but City manager Chris Coleman still believes his team can make it with the seven games left to play.

The Sky Blues haven't won a game in their last four tries, drawing two and losing two, but Coleman refuses to give in just yet, he said, "It's important we finish as high as we can. While there's even a slim glimmer of hope that we can get into the play-offs, we've got to hang onto that. It would be such a big thing for us."

"Of course, it's a long shot but there's still a lot of points to play for."

West Brom had the better of the first half and scored through their loan signing Steven Reid and could have gone two up when the ball appeared to have crossed the line rom a Robert Koren shot, but this time the assistant running the line ruled no goal.

The Sky Blues had much the better of the second half and Jonathan Stead, Carl Baker and Clinton Morrison all going agonisingly close to scoring. Sammy Clingan saw his free kick elude the wall and the goal keeper, but the ball went just the wrong side of the post.

Coleman ruefully added, "West Brom were hanging on at the end. Second half we played very, very well and I felt we deserved at least a point from that."

"Honestly, I believe that if one of our chances had gone in, as we were the team with the momentum, then we would have got another one."
