We Are Still Looking For Loan Players - Fisher

Coventry City’s CEO Tim Fisher says that City are still looking for loan players.

City boss Andy Thorn said yesterday that no new players were likely to be forthcoming but the Beckenham based Mr Fisher said: “Steve Waggott continues to scour the market and is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to strengthening the squad with quality.

“As he said after we brought in Oliver Norwood, Alex Nimely and Hermann Hreidarsson in January, we hoped to get further players in when the emergency loan window opened.

“But circumstances change and some targets went elsewhere or became involved with their first-team squad when they had previously seemed surplus to requirements at their parent club.

“As Andy says, we don’t want to bring in a player to make up the numbers.

"We want them to improve the squad in just the same way that Oliver and Alex have.”
