We Are On The Hunt For Players - Ranson

Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson has said that the Sky Blues are actively trying to bring new players to the Ricoh Arena for next season.

Ranson, who missed the Club's End Of Season Dinner with a migraine, told the CT: "We are talking all the time about players we can bring in and with the vast majority of summer business, we will stick to our principle of bringing in talented, young and hungry players that can all grow with the club.

"In players such as James McPake and David Bell, we believe we have a couple of players who will be like new signings because they haven't had a great deal of opportunity to show supporters what they can do yet because of injury.

"Chris has already stated that we'd like to get Jordan Henderson from Sunderland again but much of that will depend on their status next season.

"But there are one or two wide players on his 'most wanted' list because I think we have all seen this season that when we've had natural width, we have been at our best.

"It can never be a case of the manager saying these are the three or four players we want and that's it because transfer dealings are much more complex than they used to be - so we have several targets in several areas."
