Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that the City players are determined to stay in the Championship.
City are 23rd In the Championship table after the woeful performance at Nottingham Forest last week and need to win the remainder of their home matches if they are to have any chance of staying in the second flight of English football.
Speaking to the CT’s Alan Poole, the City boss said: “I will be giving it everything and so will the players.
“I had a chat with them this week and we are determined to stay in this league, starting with a victory tomorrow because it’s not nice at the moment.
No-one likes it and the finger pointing has started, which I knew would happen.
“There are a few players coming back out on the training pitch now and everyone is looking around to see who is going to be playing on Saturday, which is nice.
“We have been in the position where we haven’t been able to afford to get injuries and be careful what we do but it is important we had everyone ready for this last push.
“There’s a long way to go yet and it is really important we have got everyone back because after this we play Leicester and then it’s very much Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday/Tuesday. We can’t go into those games with only the 13 we had against Leeds.
“If we can win tomorrow then everyone will be looking over their shoulders because of our goal difference.”
