Watford Is Like My First Love- Boothroyd

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd revealed his soft spot for Watford after the sides drew 2-2 this afternoon.

Although, Boothroyd had to ensure some Watford fans blaming him for some of the club's financial problems when he got off the team coach at Vicarage Road, the former Hornets boss was pleased with the reception he received from the majority of those inside the ground.

"It's lovely, it's very nice" said Boothroyd to the Sporting Life about his reception.

"This is like my first love I guess, you never forget it, and I had brilliant, brilliant times here and some not so good times but, all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, I was grateful for the opportunity and I'm pleased to be back.

"I'm glad I've been back now and it's done and now I want to create some new memories with Coventry City and we've got one today."
