Warwicks Turn The Table On Yorkshire

Warwickshire County Cricket club took back the advantage on day two of their County Championship game against Yorkshire at Scarborough.

Warwicks were 53-4 yesterday but Tim Ambrose, today was a man in form.

The former England international made 113 which included 21 fours with Neil Carter chipping in with a valuable 67 to give Warwicks a total of 320.

This was a must win game for Warwicks if they wish to ensure that they avoid relegation and they got off to a great start.

Jack Rudolph was out first ball and three balls later, Sreesanth had his second wicket when McGrath was caught by Ambrose with out scoring.

Tahir took the wickets of Sayers and Gale and with Bairstow being removed by Neil Carter, Yorkshire were reduced to 67-5.

Sreesanth added the wickets of Shahzad and Pryah to his tally to leave Yorks on 100-7 at the close.

In the one day international in Belfast, Jon Trott was out for a duck for England who made 203-9 in 50 overs. Denly top scored with 67.

Rain meant that Ireland's innings was reduced to twenty overs and DL scoring left them to get 116 to win. They finished on 113-9 to give England a two run win.
