Warwicks Lose To Durham

Warwickshire County Cricket Club went down to an eight wicket defeat at Durham.

Warwicks, started the third day eleven runs short of losing to an innings defeat and had Jim Troughton make a superb 111 from 223 balls including 16 fours.

Rikki Clarke became the fifth Warwicks player to lose his wicket with the score on 150, with Troughton being caught by Di Venuto some 61 runs later.

Javid made 21, Woakes 13 before the tail was mopped up and Warwicks were all out for 238.

This left Durham needing 101 for victory. Stoneman was caught Ambrose bowled Tahir for 5 and Smith went for 11 as Michael Di Venuto (41 not out) and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (41 not out) steered Durham to an eight wicket victory at Chester Le Street.

Next Wednesday, Warwicks are back in County Championship action with a trip to Scarborough to face Yorkshire.

In the final Ashes test, Australia were bowled out for 160 with Stuart Broad take 5-37 after England were all out for 332.

In their second innings, England were 58-3 at the close. Ian Bell made four before he was caught by Katich off the bowling of Johnson and Jon Trott ended the day eight not out.
