Former Coventry City defender Elliott Ward is expected to be out for a few weeks according to Norwich City boss Paul Lambert.

Ward, who has been involved in most of Norwich's matches this season since joining the Canaries on a free transfer from Coventry on July 1st, has a calf injury.

Norwich also have Henri Lansbury out injured and Paul Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Elliott's got a calf problem at the minute and Henri's got a hamstring.

"It's not like I've just got fringe players out, I've got a handful there that are first team players for me."

Former Coventry City loanee Leon Barnett will be back on January 3rd after serving a ban for throwing the ball at a referee who sent him off.
