Ward In Charge For City V Bristol City

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game against Bristol City on Saturday is Gavin Ward from Surrey.

The 28 year old got into refereeing through his step dad and is in his second second season on the referees list after spending five years as an assistant referee.

He has had 25 games (six Championship matches) so far this season, showing 71 yellow cards and two red both in the Portsmouth V QPR game.

His only City game was the 1-1 draw with Preston North End last season which saw three cautions and his only Bristol City game was a 4-2 win against Preston.
 
The assistants are Neil Radford from Worcester & Richard West from East Yorkshire.  The Fourth Official is Neil Hair from Cambridgeshire.
