Walsall have taken a first leg lead in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Northern Section Area Final with a 2-0 win at Preston North End.
The score was 0-0 until Anthony Forde opened the scoring for the Saddlers in the 84th minute and Tom Bradshaw scored a second in the 88th minute.
