Walsall After Staunton

Walsall could be making a move for Steve Staunton. The former Liverpool defender who ended up playing at centre half for the Sky Blues at the back end of last season had been offered a one year deal by Micky Adams.

However, the 36 year old has said that he wants to go into management and a coaching.playing role at the Bescot Stadium may appeal to him.

Ian Bennett has signed for Leeds United. Bennett rejected a move to Highfield Road after a successful spell on loan from Birmingham City,forcing Micky Adams to take Kevin Pressman as emergency cover.
