According to the Coventry Evening Telegraph, League One side Millwall are belived to have shown an interest in Andy Whing.

The Birmingham born right back whose home shirt is sponsored by Covsupport, was watched on a number of occasions last season by scouts from the South London club.

Whing who scored the last ever League goal at Highfield Road faces competition for a regular start from new signing David McNamee and over the last two seasons has had competition from Richard Duffy and before that Louis Carey.

Sources at Millwall suggest that Whing is one of a number of players, the Lions have shown an interest in as Nigel Spackman attempts to build a Millwall side that will get back into the Championship in the shortest possible time.

Geoff Horsfield currently at Sheffield United, Hartlepool keeper Dimitri Konstantopoulos and Stephen Bywater are names currently doing the rounds as possibly being signed by Micky Adams who as always is keeping his cards close to his chest.
