Coventry City have signed Abu Ogogo on a free transfer.

The midfielder, turned down a contract with Shrewsbury Town, whom he made 124 appearances for, scoring five goals after playing for Dagenham & Redbridge and Arsenal's Academy.

He has signed on a three year deal, starting on July 1st, joining former Shrewsbury team mate Junior Brown at the club and speaking about him, City boss Mark Robins, who has to get his transfer business done by August 9th, said: “We are delighted that Abu has chosen to sign for Coventry City.

“He is a player with great ability and experience, and someone who is a natural leader both on and off the pitch.

"He is a real athlete and also brings a fantastic work rate and physicality, all of which makes him a brilliant capture for the club.

“We look forward to Abu being an integral part of our squad.”
