Coventry City Development Director Steve Waggott has thanked Gregor Rioch for his work at the Sky Blues Academy.
Waggott told Nick Connoll: "When Gregor approached me to say he felt he needed a new challenge I made it obvious that I wanted to keep him here at Coventry.
“But this is a personal decision for Gregor and once he had made up his mind, we have had to plan accordingly.
“We have to continue the work that Gregor has done over the past six-and-a-half years, during which time he has great support from a team of coaches and staff.
“The Academy is of vital importance to Coventry City and the way we are structuring the football department to create a clear and smooth path from Academy to the first team.
“We would like to place on record our sincerest thank you to Gregor for all of his work at Coventry City and we wish him all the very best in his future career.”
