Coventry City Development Officer Steve Waggott has out-lined the qualities needed by the new manager of the Sky Blues.

Seventy applicants have been whittled down to nine and now to three who will be interviewed for a second time next week and Mr Waggot said that the new manager needed to be someone who could come in and make a decent unit out of the the players, get rid of the fragility, install confidence and self belief, with a work ethic of back to basics as well as showing leadership.

Mr Waggott also admitted that In the interviews so far under-taken, questions had been asked about the current squad and those interviewed had said it was a good squad but it was lacking tempo and had no pace or width.

Mr Waggott said that the new manager would be able to bring in players on loan.
