Waggott Apologises Over Ticket Queues

Coventry City CEO Steve Waggott has apologised over the queues for tickets before last night's 3-2 win over Crewe Alexandra.

Mr Waggott issued a statement via the club website, saying: "I'm extremely disappointed that so many supporters were delayed getting into the stadium for the game and I apologise to all affected.

"We had to delay kick-off which worked as there were no more than a dozen left getting in by the time we eventually kicked off at 8pm.

"There will be a series of meetings with ACL staff ahead of the Southend game to improve the situation at the stadium. We've only got one stadium collection point at the moment and it is imperative we expand that.

“We'll also be looking into getting another ticket outlet in operation to use throughout the week in a central location to Coventry.

"We're currently assessing the entire ticketing operation at the club and I assure supporters, improvements will be made."
