Dann is rumoured to have his City wages well upped by Wolves and he was having a medical with them. Then McLeish came back in with the improved offer and Dann opted to sign for The St Andrews based club instead.
Dann has agreed terms on a £3.5-£4m deal and will become Birmingham third summer signing.
