Vincelot: Too Many Players Below Their Best

Romain Vincelot has told the Coventry Telegraph that too many Coventry City players were below their best on Tuesday night at Barnsley.

The Frenchman said at this morning's press conference: "I was not injured, it was just a tactical change because I was not good on the night.

"A ball hit me in the wrong part of my body just before that so it may have looked that way.

"There were too many players below their best on Tuesday.

"We hate it when that happens and there are no excuses.

"Sometimes you feel tired before the game and things but that was not the case.

"It was one of those games we have to use our anger to put it right in the next game.

We know what we are capable of and nights like Barnsley are something horrible but you can’t keep thinking about it for days and days.

"We have to skip to the next one and everyone is raring to go for another game and show what we can do.”
