Coventry City Interim Manager & Otium Director Mark Venus has feels that the Sky Blues should be fighting to progress in the EFL Trophy.

Speaking ahead of the EFL Trophy game against Crawley Town tonight and about the only competition the club are left in, Venus told Billie Marshall: “I think it’s a competition that has got a great finale and I think going back a couple of years our supporters rose to the occasion during the Northern Area final.

“It’s a trophy at the end of it so we should be fighting to progress in this competition. Any competition you want to go as far as you can in and this is no different."

“Not many players get the chance to play at Wembley in their careers and if they turn an opportunity down that may end up with that outcome, they’ll be silly in my opinion.”
