Venus: We Cannot Feel Sorry For Ourselves

Last updated : 06 December 2016 By CNS Sport

Coventry City Interim Manager & Otium Director Mark Venus has said that he and the players cannot feel sorry for themselves.

Venus, who can expect the calls for him to get out of the club to continue, if comments made on social media, sections of the media and the mood amongst the City support at Cambridge United on Sunday are anything to go by, told Billie Marshall: “We’re professional people, we have to get on with it. We let everybody down, but we cannot let our heads drop.

“Every game that comes is another opportunity to turn this season around. We can’t feel sorry for ourselves, we have to focus on picking points up in the league and climbing the table as quickly as possible.

“It’s been a weekend for a lot of thought. I would suggest it has been one of the lowest points in my career, and I’ve had a few of them in the past.
