Otium Director Mark Venus has said that he is pleased that Russell Slade has come in with his own ideas and targets for Coventry City.
Venus, who is reverting back to his role as Technical Director, a decision which has not gone well with many sections of the City support, told Laura Hunter: “We’re aware of where we are and what we have to do to try and get out of this situation. The club feels that Russell is the right man and the right person to do that.
“We’ve got a transfer window coming up which we need to make use of. I’ve openly said it is evident that the team need a bit of help.
“My role is back to where it was, and again I’ll be working to try and make the club better. The manager will highlight the players he wants and we’ll put all the funds together that we can to get as many of those targets as possible.
“We’ve got a little list already, I’m pleased he has come in with some ideas and some targets. That is important.”
