Coventry City Technical Director Mark Venus has said that he is not at the club to appease anyone.
Venus told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I am not here to appease anyone, I just want Coventry to be what everyone wants it to be.
“I hope people can trust me with all that. I don’t want to make false claims about where the football club is, I just want to make realistic, honest appraisals of where the club is and where I would like it to be.
“We have to be totally honest with where we are – we’re not trying to con anyone – and we have to make visions to where you want to be and work really hard to get there.
“If your vision is Utopia you are never going to get there but how far can you get towards it? We’ll have to see.”
