Venus: I Believe This Squad Is Good Enough

Coventry City interim manager Mark Venus has said that he believes that his squad is good enough to get out of the relegation zone.

City travel to Charlton rock bottom of League One and speaking to Billie Marshall, he said: “I firmly believe this squad is good enough and the last two games gave us some real positives. We understand it is only two games, and only one league game, but we have to remain positive.

“We need to keep picking up points and climb the table because nothing else will suffice. Our initial aim is to climb out the bottom four and then we’ll look further ahead.

“It is important not to get ahead of ourselves and focus only on the next opposition, and this is Charlton tomorrow. If you look at the table there is a lot of teams around a similar points total so things can change quickly.”
