Coventry City Interim Manager & Otium Director Mark Venus was pleased that a young Sky Blues side stuck at it and came from two goals down to win 4-2 at Wycombe Wanderers in an EFL Trophy First Round game.

Speaking about the fourth time that City have come from two goals down to win in the last thirty years, Venus told Billie Marshall: “I think the lads shown great character out there tonight, especially after conceding the second goal.

“They believed in themselves and kept at it until the final whistle. We took a few risks and they seemed to pay off, but a few players certainly made a difference tonight.

“I’m really pleased for them because stuck at it and produced a fantastic comeback to secure a great win for the team. It was a tough test against a very physical side tonight and we coped well for the majority.”
