James Vaughan, who won a controversial penalty against Coventry City last Saturday has admitted to his friend, Coventry striker Lukas Jutkiewicz that it wasn't a penalty.

Jutkiewicz said to the CT: "I just think it was one of those where they both tangled and he certainly didn't dive. He just lost his balance."

"He is not that type of player and I know because I have played with him. He's an honest boy and he admitted himself that it might have been outside the area.

"I was in line with it and it is really frustrating when decisions like that go against you."

Jutkiewicz said the team were disappointed to lose at Palace saying, "We were really disappointed to lose the Palace game because I thought our overall performance was very good. Obviously goals change games and we are not exactly happy with those incidents but we have to get on with it.

"The important thing is to keep creating chances. We are really disappointed not to have converted them and most weeks that would have been enough to win the game. I have got to get over the frustration of missing a good chance myself and concentrate on the next game

"The chances are coming and I think we would be more worried if we weren't getting in the right positions. We had a hard week last week and the key thing now is to get ready for Burnley when we have to take the positives from Palace and build on them."
