It was honours even at the Alan Higgs Centre as City drew 1-1

Greg Rioch's side had all the play with Liam Robinson playing in midfield and Keiran Fitzharris both having shots to keep Danzelle Hamilton in the Stoke goal busy.

Stoke's first attack came in the 23rd minute and saw them take the lead.

Jack Watson took a free kick deep on the right hand side. His kick made the most of a strong wind and sailed over Neil Collett and in the net at the far post.

In defence,Callum Burgess made some good challenges as the visitors pressed forward.

Eleven minutes into the second half, City were level when Kenny Keys handled a Sean Fraser shot. Reis Ashraf sent Hamilton the wrong way from the resulting penalty kick.

With twenty minutes to go,Neil Collett produced the save of the game when he dived to his left to push a McDonald shot around for a corner.

Both sides went for a winner with the Sky Blues slightly superior due to their fitness.

Keys hit the cross bar two minutes from time with a long ranger but the game finished in a draw.
