Two Sheffield Wednesday supporters were killed in a car crash on the M69 last night. The pair were travelling back from the Arena after seeing their side lose 2-1.

Sheffield Wednesday will hold a minute's silence for them before their game against cross town rivals Sheffield United on Saturday.

Covsupport sends its condolences to the family and friends of those who perished and urges all supporters to take extra care when travelling to and from matches.

The Sky Blue Trust's Press Officer Natalie Cox said: "We are obviously saddened to hear of the death of fellow football fans and send our condolences to the family and friends of those involved. "We fully support Sheffield Wednesday's decision to hold a minutes silence in honour of those who died."
