Adams has topped all the supporter polls and was the first name supplied to by the Sky Blue Trust to the club.
The former Sky Blue who walked out of managerial positions at Brentford,Swansea and Brighton was interviewed for the job last week.
Adrian Heath has polled lowly in the supporters vote but is the players choice and there are strong rumours that as he is currently on the pay roll, he will be offered the job until the end of the season.
