Former Coventry City striker Craig Reid scored twice for Newport County in a 2-0 pre-season victory over a Wolves development squad.

Reid, who was brought into Coventry to replace Roy O'Donovan who had his contract cancelled and went on to score for City U18's and City Reserves including seventeen in his final season before he was let go by Micky Adams,  in 2006, had a fine game, causing numerous problems for the visiting defence and capped a good night's work by scoring for Dean Holdsworth's side in the tenth and 28th minute, watched by a crowd of 1250.

The goals takes Coventry born Reid's pre-season tally to three and the striker has scored around 50 goals since joining Newport.
