Coventry City were made to pay for two defensive errors and went down to a defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

City supporters, including one regular visitor from Denmark, took every available ticket for this trip into deepest Yam Yam terrority and were in good voice as the Sky Blues took the field with Freddie Eastwood appearing against his former club.

Eastwood was booed by sections of the South Bank in the early exchanges.

Not that he probably heard the boos as in the fifth minute, the City fans were going absolutely mental when a Gunnarsson ball forward was headed down by Leon Best. Michael Doyle flicked on and in ran Michael Mifsud from the edge of the area and advanced before slotting the ball into the net.

Eastwood was playing like a man possessed early on ,making run after run,and playing his team mates forward at every opportunity.
Supported by Aron Gunnarsson and Jay Tabb, who also got well stuck in.

Osbourne tried his luck with a 19th minute drive before Keiran Westwood had to make his first save of the game to get down to a right footed Kightky effort.

With the City support laughing how bad Scottish striker Chris Iwelumo was in the first half, a great ball from Jay Tabb played in Mifsud to get in a 25th minute shot which Ikeme did very well to block with his legs.

Eight minutes later, with Wolves starting to get some of the play, a ball in following a corner was headed onto the far post by Iwelumo when it was easier to score than miss.

Four minutes before the interval, all the good work was undone by some awful defending by the Sky Blues, who all stood watching, leaving Keiran Westwood stuck whether to come or go. As he came out, Michael Kightly stroked the ball into an empty net.

At half time, whilst watching more heavy handed stewarding,we mused how the Sky Blues should be winning.

But twelve minutes into the second,Ebanks-Blake got down the right wing and picked out Kightly who hit a shot that Westwood got a hand to and allowed to drop down for Ebanks Blake to tap into the net.

City were floundering so Chris Coleman opted for a double substitution bring on Clinton Morrison and suprisingly,Guilly Beuzelin who had not impressed for the reserves on Tuesday v Hereford.

This did not change much apart from a weak effort from Morrison who tapped at the keeper following a fine run from Osbourne to whip in a cross.

Morrison who has now had twenty shot on target without finding the net,got up with the capable Ikeme in stoppage time but defensive errors meant that City were the beaten side and Wolves were top.
