Two Aways One Home In FA Cup Draw

The draw for the early FA Cup rounds has been made.

Midland Football League Premier Division side Coventry Sphinx have been draw away to Heather Town whilst Division One side Atherstone Town are at home to Brocton, who won the Midland Combination Premier Division last season and Nuneaton Griff travel to Coleshill Town.

The Extra Preliminary Round ties will be played on Saturday August 16th.

If Coventry Sphinx get through, then they have a home tie against Bedworth United in the Preliminary Round with Nuneaton Griff or Coleshill facing Bromsgrove or Bewdley at home and Atherstone travelling to Sutton Coldfield Town if they are victorious.

Rugby Town and Stratford Town also enter the competition at the Preliminary Round stage. Rugby will travel to Gornal Athletic or Westfields with Stratford travelling to Blaby & Whetstone Athletic or Harborough Town.

Ties will be played on Saturday August 30th and the winners will receive £1925.

In the First Qualifying Round, Sphinx, if they get through or Bedworth United, will face a trip to play anyone from AFC Wulfrunian, Alvechurch, Boldmere St Michaels or Desborough.

If Atherstone Town get through, they will face, a trip to Halesowen Town with Nuneaton Griff facing Barwell if they qualified, whilst Stratford could be at home to Sporting Khalsa, Pegasus Juniors, St Andrews or Tipton Town and Rugby could be at home to Newcastle Town or Chasetown.
