Ben Turner has been given the ok by Cardiff City to play for Coventry City at Bradford City tomorrow night.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph about Turner, Mowbray said: “I spoke to Russell Slade this morning about his performance and they are obviously happy and let’s hope it stays on the right path for Ben, that he gets fit and somewhere along the line he’ll go back to Cardiff and helps them have a good season in the Championship.

“They are happy for him to continue to be available for selection against Bradford. Initially the conversation with Russell was ‘let’s be careful.’

“If he had played 90 minutes on Saturday and then had to play Tuesday they weren’t too sure about that. But the fact he only played 55 minutes means they are pretty relaxed.

“Ultimately, for them, it’s about progressing him back to full fitness. I know Russell well and he knows we won’t put the boy in any sort of jeopardy because he needs to find the right path back to full fitness.

“That said, at some stage very soon he needs to play 90 minutes of football.
