Coventry Evening Telegraph Cup holders Coventry Sphinx are through to the final again. Paul Charnley's side book their place at the Arena with a 6-0 win over Southam United in the semi-final played at Coventry Copsewood.

Sphinx will meet the winner of tomorrow other semi-final between Atherstone Town and Coventry Copsewood which will be played at Coventry Sphinx FC. The Final is at the Ricoh on Monday April 24th.

Elsewhere, it was a bad night for Eric Black. The former City boss saw his Birmingham City side beaten 7-0 at home by Liverpool in an FA Cup Quarter-Final. In the Championship, Crystal Palace won 1-0 at Leeds United with McAnuff scoring two minutes before half-time.

Locally, Nuneaton Borough were knocked out of the Birmingham Senior Cup Semi-Final with a 1-0 home by Willenhall Town. Nicky Campbell scored for Willenhall in the 12th minute in front of a crowd of 328.

Rugby Town drew a rearranged game with Halesowen Town 0-0 at Butlin Road. That was also the score at Rocester where Leamington earned a draw.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Nuneaton Griff lost 1-0 at Pilkington XXX.
