Tuesday It Is

The poll to decide on which night Coventry City should play their home league and cup matches has come down in favour of Tuesday nights.

The decision to move to Wednesday's was made by ousted Chairman Bryan Richardson a few seasons ago in a bid to try and cash in on some extra television revenue.

During his time as a player with the Sky Blues, Micky Adams was used to playing midweek matches on a Tuesday night and he told the club website: "I think that at times this season having to play Wednesday then Saturday has put the squad under added pressure. "That extra 24 hours can sometimes be vital, especially when there is a lot of travelling is involved.

"I also believe that playing on a Wednesday can be a disadvantage when the results from a Tuesday evening have led to City dropping a couple of places in the table."

City have now confirmed this to the Football League and have thanked everyone for voting via this or their own site.
