Coventry City striker Marcus Tudgay has said that the Sky Blues came away from Gillingham after a 0-0 draw with their heads held high.

Speaking about the game in which the former Derby player was inches away from giving the Sky Blues a deserved victory, Tudgay told Laura Hunter: “We got stronger as the game went on, maybe we were a bit nervous to begin with. We came in to our own, their captain praised us after the game.

“It was a good battle, we come away with our heads held high. We have come out and kept ourselves in the game early on, we build on that.

“We take a point, on the back of a bad run. Goals will come, we have to stay positive. I’m a believer of training how we play.

“I thought the back line was solid, dealt with it well. Phillips come in to the team, did really well. That’s a big plus.”
