Tudgay Apologies To Travelling City Support

Coventry City's Marcus Tudgay has apologised to the 779 travelling City support who witnessed the Sky Blues 2-0 defeat at Doncaster Rovers.

“It’s disappointing, we came here today with no fight and no spirit, no nothing in that performance,” said the veteran front man.

“All the boys know they haven’t delivered on a day when we had a great opportunity to get another three points and set us up for next weekend.

“We have let ourselves down and let the fans down massively. They’ve come along to cheer us on and none of us have delivered today.

“We stepped on the pitch and nothing connected, nothing worked – we didn’t win any headers, any battles, we were second to every ball."

“We’re disappointed and sorry for the fans who didn’t get their moneys worth today.

“We’ve shown inconsistency again, three points last week and absolutely shambolic this and our apologies go to the fans for that today.”
