Trust Call For Admission Price Check

The Sky Blue Trust have admitted they are delighted with the attendance at last Saturday's FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough brought about by cheaper admission prices.

Two out of the three biggest attandances for matches so far this season at the Ricoh Arena were down to the fact that admission was encouragingly priced at £15 for adults and the Trust feel that whilst it is too late to do anything about the prices this season, a similar price for all home matches next season and one reflected in season ticket prices would see the Arena close to capacity for the vast majority of games.

Currently the average price for a Championship game for two adults and two children is £53 but at Coventry it is £58.

A Trust spokesperson said: "Making football affordable does result in higher attendances and if the Sky Blues Board want to extend the club's fan base, they need to price games attractively. By incorporating these prices into the season ticket price as happens at other clubs, season ticket sales will rise accordingly"
