Former Coventry City loanee Paul Trollope has been appointed coach at Birmingham City.

The midfielder who made six appearances for City in 2002 whilst on loan from Derby County, had been manager of Bristol Rovers but was sacked after their JPT exit against Exeter in December and placed on gardening leave.

Trollope has flown to Ireland to take up his new role with Birmingham City's squad.
