Kevin Thornton, Ben Turner and Ryan Lynch have all signed new deals with Coventry City.

Thornton, a popular midfielder and Covsupport Reserve Team Player of the Season, has agreed a two year deal whilst both Birmingham born defenders Ryan Lynch and Ben Turner have signed one year deals.

Speaking about Kevin Thornton, a player watched by a number of clubs, Micky Adams who watched the trio at Arsenal yesterday said to the club website: "Kevin has undoubted potential, which I believe he has shown when he has appeared for the first-team this season.

"He is one of a batch of young players that we see as playing a part in the future of Coventry City and I look forward to working with him further."

Andy Gooding who was third in the FL Young Trainee awards last month and winger Liam Davis have rejected the deals offered to them by Coventry.

Micky Adams said: "I think that is bitterly disappointing,. "It is unfortunate that they have declined our offers and while I don't rule anything out, the likelihood is they could both be leaving.

"It is a surprise and it is always disappointing when youngsters turn down contracts but they have got agents, in fact they share the same agent, who sees their futures elsewhere.

"We will retain compensation rights on them because we have looked after them since the age of nine and we hope that people will consider all the time, effort and money we have spent on them."
