Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that Lee Burge, Jordan Willis and Tom Davies, who are all out of contract on June 30th 2019 are in the driving seats when it comes to their futures.

Burge and Willis are two of the longest serving players at the club, both having come through the Academy and have around 350 appearances between them, whilst Davies is coming toward the end of his two year deal.

With the future of the Sky Blues currently uncertain until a deal can be made to keep City at the Ricoh Arena, City Manager Mark Robins said to the Coventry Telegraph: “It’s too early.

“They have got representatives, some of whom have changed, and it is what it is.

“I am quite open to doing something but I think there is a clear message coming from their camps.

“The silence is deafening. “So I don’t know what has happened.

“But look, it’s a free market and they have got a right to do whatever they want to do.

“Certainly since I have been here, they have been brilliant. So whatever happens, happens.

“I have said it before, players go out of contract.

“If they want to stay then maybe we can come to an agreement.

“If we can’t, we shake their hands and they move on and we move on as well.

“So we are up for every eventuality.

“Like I say, sometimes things come to a natural end and sometimes you think they are coming to a natural end and things manifest and it turns out that they extend their stay.

“Other than that, it is what it is. It’s the same for everyone up and down the country.

“At the moment we have got games to play and we can sit down if they want to stay but they are in the driving seat.

“If they want to stay they know that the door is always open and we can have a conversation.”
