The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder played his first game in a Sky Blues shirt just two days after joining the club on trial.

"Jonnie did very well to be fair to him," Mills told the clubs official website.

"He only came in on Monday and he’s done very well, working hard in training and he did himself no harm at all last night. He added something to the side and you could see he has been brought up the right way at Spurs.

"We’re getting to that time of the year when a few players may be available and players who are out of contract at the end of the season are looking for a club.

"It’s too early to say whether we will be keeping Johnnie here but he certainly did well."
