Coventry City defender Richard Wood, has said City's trip to Tranmere Rovers will be a tough test.

The Wirrall based side, favoured by legendary band Half Man Half Biscuit, are riding high in the League One table whilst the Sky Blues are at the other end.

Speaking to club journalist Keiran Crowley, Wood said: “It will be a really tough test for us as they are full of confidence and started the season really well.

“They play some good football, in a different system but we have trained with this knowledge so we won’t be surprised at how they play.

“We need to get this season on track. It is still early doors but we need to start picking up our results and play the way we can.

“Momentum is everything in football and we need to gain that with some results. As soon as we get the results, we will be flying.”
