To Get The Win Was A Real Bonus - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley felt his side's 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers was a real bonus.

Speaking to Alan Poole of the Coventry Telegraph, Pressley said: "We had half a dozen teenagers out there and a few other players in their early twenties yet they showed that they know exactly how we want them to play. There was no fear and, physically, they held their own against a very fit Bristol Rovers side who I would guess are going to be one of the favourites for the Conference title this year.

"I would have been happy if we had lost 1-0, but to score two superb goals and get the win was a real bonus.

"We've got another game against Stevenage tomorrow, so I'll be looking for a similar effort to set us up for a week's hard training before we kick off the season."
