Time To Work On Tactics

Preparations for the new season continue in earnest for Chris Coleman nad his players.

The City team returned after a two game tour of Switzerland and will not start to concentrate on tactics and formation as they prepare for the visit of Norwich City on August 9th.

Said Chris Coleman to the CT: "We made sure the two games in Switzerland would be a tough workout for the lads who have been training hard and went into the matches fatigued.

"It has all been about the physical side of their fitness up to now and we haven't really worked on our shape and the tactical side of things. We will start that next week and hopefully start creating a few more chances and getting a couple of goals in our last three pre-season friendlies.

"But I would rather the lads have a really hard game and lose 1-0 than win 6-0 at this stage. It was disappointing to lose to a last minute goal at Stade Nyonnais, particularly because Keiren Westwood made some really good saves.

"But that's why we bought him and that's what he's capable of, and we believe he is the best young keeper outside the Premiership."
